Antique Petal Bookend Planters -Set of 2

A sculptural pair of planters made to sit at either end of a shelf, almost like bookends with something living growing out of them. The deep charcoal glaze gives the body an aged, antique feel, while the soft pink petals bring in this fresh little contrast that becomes even better once you add a green plant. Against books, wood and all the things already living on your shelves, they feel collected rather than styled. I especially love these placed at eye level, because every time you walk past you notice something different in the surface, the glossy charcoal, the pink glaze, the petal shapes and all the little shifts around the edges. They also work beautifully on a coffee table or office desk if you want the pair to sit together instead of framing a shelf. A small note on this set: the bases caught slightly during firing, leaving a visible chip on each planter. They still sit flat and this does not affect their function in any way. The pricing has been adjusted accordingly, which is also why I am offering the two together as a set.
