Midnight Blue Horse

Midnight blue, for the hours that feel quiet, private and full of possibility. The kind of darkness that makes space for ideas, work and becoming. The weathered white carvings move across the blue like marks gathered through a long journey, giving the horse a sense of experience rather than newness. In the Indian meaning I grew up with, the horse carries protection, stability and strength for new beginnings, which is exactly what this piece came to hold for me. It stands beautifully as a sculptural object, or can hold dry stems, pens or brushes without losing its presence. A small guardian for the parts of life still taking shape.
