Turtle Planter

A living animal sculpture waiting to take shape through the way you choose to plant and grow it. The shell is made to keep changing. A new succulent, a tiny propagation, a cutting you couldn’t leave behind. Every little pocket becomes another reason to come back and play with it. As the plants begin settling in, the soil slowly disappears and the turtle starts carrying its own little world. That’s when it stops feeling like a planter and starts feeling alive. The shell is one of my favourite parts. The colours settle into the natural markings so effortlessly that the carving almost disappears. The closer you look, the more it feels like you’re looking at a real shell instead of clay. It’s the kind of piece that naturally stays close. A coffee table, a kitchen counter, a balcony corner. Somewhere you’ll notice a new leaf, tuck in another cutting, or realise the whole turtle looks different from last month. Every Turtle Planter is sculpted by hand, so the shell, expression and little details will always have a character of their own. It slowly becomes less like something you bought, and more like something that’s been growing with you.
