Dragon Bowl

A sculptural tabletop bowl built from overlapping layers, with these pointed dragon tooth like edges running all around it. The openings and cutouts make the form feel almost skeletal, but the layers overlap just enough to still hold dry snacks, chunky food, jewellery or all the little things that tend to collect on a table. The surface moves between raw dark clay, bronze, smoky black and these small blue green glaze breaks that show up differently across every layer. I especially love the inside because all the overlapping pieces make it feel almost like looking into the mouth or armour of some strange little creature. It is definitely sculpture first, but still useful enough to live on a table and actually become part of the everyday.
