Phoenix Plate

A sculptural ceramic plate designed to live either on the wall or on the table. The surface moves through deep brown, bronze, black and glowing pink, with matte, glossy and almost holographic areas appearing differently as the light changes. In stronger light, you can even catch tiny prism like flashes across the glaze. The shape reminds me of a butterfly wing, while the colour has this fiery phoenix energy, which is where the name comes from. I would place it somewhere it can catch a little natural light through the day, or use it flat on a table for jewellery, keepsakes or anything you want to give a little more presence to.
