Ali Guli Mane

A five hole Ali Guli Mane that feels like it has quietly lived through generations. The softened form, worn edges and aged finish give it the warmth of something that’s been picked up, played with and held onto for years. The bead details catch your eye first. Holding it slows you down. Your fingers trace the edges almost instinctively, while your eyes keep finding details that somehow escaped the first look. The carved houses, tiny motifs and changing depth of the glaze reveal themselves one by one. Whether it’s played or simply resting on a table, it carries the quiet feeling of slower afternoons and the conversations that somehow lasted longer than the game itself. A collectible piece for every home that still remembers Ali Guli Mane. Note: The glaze visible in these photos is not the final finish. This prototype developed a glaze result that I’m not completely happy with, so every Ali Guli Mane will instead be finished in my Old Copper glaze.
